During a rapid operation conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service and the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, two officials related to the Yashnabod district administration were caught red-handed while taking a bribe.
It is reported that the assistant to the Yashnabod district governor on issues of entrepreneurship development, employment provision, and poverty reduction was caught with material evidence while taking 5,000 US dollars from a citizen, exploiting his official position during one of the local citizens' gatherings.
The pre-investigation check revealed that he promised to assist in obtaining permission and formalizing documents through his acquaintances in high positions to transfer a residential apartment located on the first floor of a multi-story building, owned by a citizen wishing to start entrepreneurial activity, into a non-residential category.
It also became known that the head of a division of the Yashnabod district administration participated in resolving this issue. During the rapid operation, this official was caught while taking 600 US dollars.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Articles 168, 28, and 211 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure of "detention" has been applied against them. Investigative actions are ongoing.
