Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev commented on March 5 regarding two drones belonging to Iran entering the country's airspace. He stated that the country's government is regularly informing the public and emphasized that any enemy force will face an "iron fist" strike.

According to the President's words, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, the State Border Service, and special preparedness units have been brought to a first-degree combat readiness status.

At the same time, information was also provided that assistance was requested from Baku via telephone regarding the situation connected with Iran, and that impartial assistance was shown by Azerbaijan.

As a result of the attack, drones fell near the Nakhchivan airport and the Shakharabad school, students and teachers were evacuated, and two civilians were injured.
