The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has expressed deep concern over the sharp deterioration of the situation in the border area between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The parties in the statement were immediately called upon to cease fire, exercise restraint, and refrain from actions that could lead to a further escalation of violence.
It was also once again emphasized that all emerging disagreements must be resolved exclusively by peaceful means—through political and diplomatic dialogue, based on the principles of state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual respect.
