President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about this.
The head of state emphasized that the center should become a place for every Uzbek, especially the youth, to understand the great heritage of their ancestors and their national identity.
This project was first proposed in 2017 during a visit to the Hazrati Imam complex.
The center houses an academy, a library, an archive, and research centers.
Furthermore, part of Qorasaroy Street is planned to be turned into a pedestrian zone, with vehicular traffic redirected through an underground tunnel.
