On February 23, a guide who drew a picture on the wall of the Unas Pyramid located near the city of Giza, Egypt, was arrested. This was reported by "Egypt Today".
It is reported that the guide drew various marks on the surface of the monument while giving information to tourists. After videos of the incident spread on social networks, the Saqqara tourist police were informed. The marks drawn were promptly removed by the responsible authorities.
The accused has now been arrested and the investigation process has begun. According to Egyptian law, a person who damages ancient monuments can be deprived of liberty for at least one year and face a large fine.
