The government of Saudi Arabia announced the temporary suspension of Umrah pilgrimage starting from April 18 as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj season. According to the new regulations, the final day for performing Umrah rituals has been set as April 18.

According to official information, the final date for submitting an application for an Umrah visa is March 19, the last day for entry into the country is April 2, and the final day for departure is considered to be April 18. Pilgrims must leave the holy sites after the specified deadlines.

Every year, millions of Muslims visit the cities of Mecca and Medina. As the Hajj season approaches, the government temporarily restricts Umrah pilgrimage to prepare the holy cities.

It is reported that after the Hajj season concludes, the Umrah pilgrimage is expected to resume around June 11, 2026.
