Two women traveling to Turkey were detained by law enforcement officers: their trip was organized by an Uzbek woman in Turkey.

During rapid preventive measures against organized crime carried out by employees of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service, a crime related to human trafficking was identified. The Press Service of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported on this.

In particular, two women, aged 22 and 36, residents of Tashkent region, who were traveling to Turkey with the aim of engaging in prostitution, were detained at Samarkand International Airport.

It was established that their air tickets and other expenses were paid by a 41-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan currently in Turkey.

A criminal case has been initiated against her under Article 135 of the Criminal Code (Human Trafficking) regarding this situation, and investigative actions are being carried out.
