According to "Uzhydromet," from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on February 12, 12 avalanches were observed in the Kamchik Pass area of Pop district, Namangan region, due to heavy snowfall. Their total volume is approximately 12 thousand cubic meters. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
During the same period, 4 avalanches were also recorded in the 2000-meter-high area of the Chimyon territory, Bo'stonliq district, Tashkent region, as a result of heavy snowfall. Their total volume was 5.5 thousand cubic meters.
Specialists, taking into account the deteriorating weather conditions in mountainous areas, are urging drivers and tourists to strictly observe precautionary measures.
