According to the press service of the Tashkent city administration, information about the demolition of the Lotte City Hotel Tashkent Palace has been denied. The Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the hotel administration have asked citizens to rely on official sources and not to spread unverified information.

The hotel was built in 1958 and occupies an area of 1.14 hectares and 24,300 square meters. The architectural appearance of the building, which has 232 rooms, must be preserved in agreement with the investor. Construction, repair, or reconstruction work will be carried out only after agreement with the Ministry of Construction and the Cultural Heritage Agency.

The hotel was sold for $20 million in November 2024 to the insurance company "Alpha Invest," and the Davaktiv agency, KPMG, and Deloitte were involved in the privatization process.
