A fire broke out on the roof of a stadium in Rio de Janeiro during a sports competition.
At the time of the incident, athletes from Kazakhstan were also participating in the event at the stadium.
According to preliminary information, the fire started in the upper part of the stadium. Videos taken by witnesses show thick smoke rising from the roof area and flames spreading rapidly.
Emergency services acted quickly and promptly evacuated spectators and participants. There is currently no information about casualties.
The causes of the fire are being determined. The athletes from Kazakhstan were not harmed as a result of the incident.
