Israel-Palestine Relations
At the beginning of the week, Israel launched another strike on Gaza.
As a result, at least 20 Palestinians, including several children and a paramedic, were killed, and about 40 were injured, according to local hospitals.
In particular, the "Al-Shifa" hospital reported receiving the bodies of 13 people, including five children, killed as a result of the explosion of tents and houses built for evacuated families.
This action by Israel is considered a gross violation of the peace agreement established between the two states in October. It should be emphasized that since the peace agreement came into force, 556 Palestinians have been killed as a result of attacks and strikes, half of them women and children. The Israeli military, meanwhile, has reported that four of its soldiers have been killed since the start of the peace agreement.
Russia-Ukraine Relations
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the passing week was a week of striving for reconciliation and peace between Russia and Ukraine. In particular, the trilateral negotiations held in Abu Dhabi under US mediation over the past week were a hopeful event for ending the war between Ukraine and Russia and establishing peace.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, Ukraine and Russia carried out an exchange of prisoners of war and civilians. According to it, 157 people from each side, consisting of military personnel and civilians, were returned to their homeland.
This exchange was the long-awaited prisoner exchange since last October.
On the topic of Russia-Ukraine, Zelenskyy's interview with French television this week was also a major event. During the interview, the President stated that 55,000 Ukrainians have died on the battlefields with Russia, and also emphasized that the list of "missing in action" constitutes a very large number.
According to Zelenskyy, the issue of territories between the two states can only be resolved during a meeting and negotiations involving Putin. The Ukrainian leader also said that negotiations are not easy, but he wants positive results to come sooner.
The BBC publication wrote about the events: The negotiations in Abu Dhabi are part of US President Donald Trump's efforts to end the war.
US-Iran Relations
Meanwhile, US leader Donald Trump also did not ignore the protests in Iran and the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. Negotiations between the two states on these very issues began in the Omani capital – Muscat.
Interestingly, the meetings were planned to be in Istanbul, but the location was changed after Trump's statements.
While there has been no official news of serious agreements, Trump said Iran is interested in talks and the initial negotiations are going well.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is leading the Iranian delegation, also emphasized after the first day that everything started well.
Meanwhile, Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs on any countries that have trade relations with Iran, but has not yet provided specific details on the rates and percentages.
