According to the Central Bank, there is no confirmed information about damage to banking systems or payment infrastructure due to a hacking attack. Nevertheless, citizens are asked not to let their guard down.
In particular, it was recommended not to click on unknown links, not to give bank card details, SMS codes, and passwords to strangers, and to trust only official sources. It was also noted that in case of encountering suspicious situations, it is necessary to contact the relevant authorities.
We remind you that on February 3, reports appeared on social networks about the leakage of personal data of 15 million Uzbeks. Official investigations are currently being conducted regarding this situation. It was previously reported that individuals who attempted to appropriate funds from citizens' plastic cards through bank applications in Tashkent had been detained.
