On January 13 of this year, a 9th-grade student, R.Y., committed suicide by jumping from the roof section of the 8-story building where he lived in the city of Fergana. Regarding this, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, informed based on an inquiry by Darakchi.uz.

It is noted that the deceased's mother left for the Russian Federation on December 25, 2025, and the child was left in the care of his uncle along with his siblings. On January 13, he went up to the roof section of the 8-story building where he lived and died as a result of jumping down.

During the conducted urgent-investigative actions, it was determined that before committing suicide, the deceased had exchanged SMS messages with a girl he liked.

An urgent investigative team consisting of employees of the Fergana City DIA and the prosecutor's office arrived at the scene of the incident. Pre-investigation checks are being carried out regarding this case.
