The incident occurred around 22:20 on January 11 at the Golden Sat restaurant located in the Mai Khao area of Phuket Island. The Phuket News publication reported on this.
According to information, a 16-year-old local girl was stopped by a man as she was leaving the restroom, forcibly pulled back, and subjected to unacceptable actions.
Restaurant customers who heard the girl's screams detained the suspect and held him until the police arrived. Subsequently, he was taken to the station by law enforcement authorities.
It is noted that the case is being investigated within the framework of Thai legislation. In this country, sexual assault against minors is considered a serious crime, and the perpetrator can be deprived of liberty for up to 10 years.
