In Germany, thieves carried out a meticulously planned robbery at a bank belonging to the Sparkasse foundation. According to police information, the criminals used a large drill to break into the safe room and opened more than 3,000 private safes containing money, gold, and jewelry.
The incident was discovered on the morning of December 29 after the fire alarm was triggered. The thieves took advantage of the "quiet Christmas days," entered the bank via the adjacent parking garage, and escaped the same way. Surveillance cameras recorded a black Audi RS 6 car leaving the garage.
So far, no persons related to the crime have been apprehended. The police assess this robbery as having been carried out at a "very professional level." The bank has activated a special hotline and called on affected customers to make contact.
