According to the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, applicants for the DV program can submit their visa applications and undergo interviews, but visas will not be issued for now. Scheduled interview appointments will not be canceled or rescheduled.

The decision was made following disputes at Brown University and MIT, and based on an order from U.S. President Donald Trump, the "green card" lottery program has been temporarily suspended.

The Embassy stated it will inform the public as additional information becomes available.
