According to the "Nation Brands Index" research, Israel recorded its lowest indicator in 20 years. The rating evaluates a country's reputation in the fields of tourism, population, culture, immigration, export, and governance. According to the research results, negative views have increased not only towards the government but also towards Israeli citizens, with the main reason being the conflicts in Gaza and Jerusalem.
Similarly, trust in Israeli products and exports has also declined, and boycotts related to the "Made in Israel" label continue. Since October 2023, due to the deaths of over 71,000 Palestinians in Gaza, negative perceptions have increased worldwide, including in Europe and East Asia.
According to recent surveys, particularly data from Pew Research and YouGov, in 2025, 53 percent of the population in the U.S. viewed Israel negatively, while in Europe, the majority of people in Britain, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, and Italy hold negative views towards Israel. The decrease in positive perceptions among the younger generation and in Western Europe poses a serious threat to Israel's international reputation and economic prospects.
