It is planned to enter service in 2038.

President Macron announced this decision on December 21 in front of French service members at the military base in Abu Dhabi. The new aircraft carrier, a modern and significantly larger construction that will replace the "Charles de Gaulle," is scheduled to be fully assembled by 2038.

The new aircraft carrier will be one of the largest military vessels in European history, and its impact is aimed at strengthening global defense capabilities at both regional and global levels.
