According to the press service of the Tashkent Metro, a malfunction occurred on train number 16, which was supposed to depart from the "Mustaqillik Maydoni" station towards "Pakhtakor" at 16:23 on December 16. One of the passengers attempted to enter the carriage while the doors were closing, resulting in the failure of the door protection mechanism.
Although the driver rectified the malfunction, the problem recurred before reaching the next station. Following this, in accordance with regulations, all passengers were disembarked at the station, and the train set was taken to the electric depot.
The "Tashkent Metro" State Unitary Enterprise called on passengers to strictly adhere to safety rules at metro facilities, asking them not to force doors open and not to cause damage to metro property. It was emphasized that following the rules ensures the safety and convenience of all passengers.
