US President Donald Trump held talks with the Prime Ministers of Thailand and Cambodia – Anutin Charnvirakul and Hun Manet. They agreed to stop the shooting. The White House leader wrote about this on his Truth Social network.

According to the American leader, the heads of the two states agreed to stop the shooting starting from last night, December 12. Trump emphasized that the parties are ready to adhere to the peace agreement concluded in October.

"It was an honor to work with Anutin and Hun to resolve a situation that could have turned into a major war (between two wonderful and prospering nations)," wrote the US President. 

Trump also expressed gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for his help in regulating the conflict.
