On December 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met in Ashgabat. This was reported by RIA "Novosti".

The parties are in Ashgabat to participate in a forum dedicated to the "International Year of Peace and Trust" being held in Turkmenistan, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of the country being granted permanent neutral status. The details of the meeting have not yet been disclosed.

We recall that the previous face-to-face meeting between Putin and Erdoğan took place in September in China, within the framework of the SCO summit. At the end of November, the leaders of the two countries also exchanged views by phone regarding the situation around Ukraine.
