Two citizens of Uzbekistan died in a bus accident in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
According to the report, the accident occurred on December 7 at 08:57 on the 1028th kilometer of the road of national importance passing through the Ayteke bi district of the Aktobe region. A Yutong passenger bus traveling on the Perm-Tashkent route veered off the road and overturned into a ditch on the side.
As a result of the road accident, 5 out of 49 passengers on the bus died, 2 of whom were citizens of Uzbekistan.
"The Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the relevant ministries and departments, has formed a working group and is taking all necessary measures to repatriate the victims of this tragic accident and provide comprehensive assistance to their family members in conducting funeral ceremonies," the ministry's report states.
It is noted that responsible employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are currently in constant contact with their Kazakh colleagues and are carrying out joint work to study the causes of the accident.
