In Tashkent city, 19,632 passengers who did not pay the bus fare were identified during the period from January to November 2025.
According to the Transport Control Inspection, a fine of 10% of the BBM — 41,200 soums — was applied to them based on Article 144 of the Administrative Liability Code.
Raids have been intensified in the capital to ensure timely fare payment.
Now, employees of the Tashkent City Passenger Transportation Monitoring and Control State Institution also have the right to officially issue fine protocols against citizens who have not paid the fare.
From January 1, 2025, cash acceptance on buses has been stopped. If a passenger offers cash payment, the driver must not accept it. If the violation is repeated, both the driver and the passenger can be held administratively liable.
Furthermore, control cameras have been installed on all buses. The limited tariff for travel on the capital's public transport is set at 3,000 soums, but there is an option to pay 1,700 soums via electronic payment.
