According to the Consulate General, several Uzbek citizens have recently attempted to illegally cross the state border of Kazakhstan.

They were detained by the authorized bodies of Kazakhstan and are being held accountable under Articles 392 and 394 of the Criminal Code.

It is noted that since September of this year, punishment for border violation in Kazakhstan has been further strengthened, with long-term imprisonment measures established.

The Consulate General strongly urges citizens not to engage in illegal schemes, to use only authorized border crossing points, and to comply with general procedures.

Previously, it was reported that a bus carrying 54 Uzbek citizens was involved in a traffic accident in the Aktobe region.

All passengers have been temporarily accommodated in a mosque in the Karabutak village, where they are being provided with food and necessary assistance.

Measures are also being taken to promptly return the citizens to Uzbekistan by another bus.
