According to a report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , federal migration authorities have been conducting intensified raids across the United States in recent days.

The inspection process focuses on the following:

  • The authenticity of driver's licenses;
  • The validity and legality of documents;
  • Employment rights and immigration status;
  • The level of English language proficiency of drivers.

As the U.S. government intensifies its fight against illegal migration, active raids are being carried out on federal roads based on broad authority. Some detained individuals are being questioned for using multiple driver's licenses or on suspicion of terrorism-related activities.

Considering the above circumstances, the MFA asks citizens driving in the U.S. to comply with the following:

  • Keep your documents in order;
  • Carry documents confirming your legal status with you;
  • In case of any suspicious or problematic situations, immediately contact Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions and consular institutions in the U.S.
