A Presidential Decree aimed at reforming the judicial system has been adopted.
Now, interference in the judicial system, exerting pressure on judges, and interference in their activities will be met with strict legal measures.
The system of disciplinary action against a judge will be transparent and fair. This includes:
- ensuring the judge's right to defense during disciplinary proceedings;
- introducing demotion to a lower judicial position as a disciplinary sanction;
- a judge under disciplinary sanction will not be recommended for a higher judicial position during the term of the sanction;
- establishing clear criteria for the grounds for holding a judge disciplinarily liable.
The review of unjust court decisions will be based on international standards - this protects judges from unfounded accusations.
The court is protected by law. No one has the right to dictate to a judge what decision to make.
These reforms are not merely changes in legislation. They will be implemented through a system that is understandable to every citizen, independent of external influence, and balanced with gender equality and scientific foundations.
The court is becoming a place where every person can be protected without fear or obstruction. Citizens' trust in the judicial system will increase further.
