Dharmendra, who earned the name "He-Man of Bollywood" in Indian cinema, had recently been in recovery at home, but on November 24, director Karan Johar announced the news of his passing.
The cause of death has not been officially disclosed. It was reported that the actor had been feeling unwell since the beginning of November and was subsequently hospitalized.
Throughout his career, Dharmendra acted in over 300 films and was recognized as one of the most prominent figures in Indian cinema. Films he starred in, such as "Zita and Gita," "My Name Is Clown," and "Beloved Raja," continue to hold the affection of audiences to this day.
The actor's final work, the film "Ikkis," is expected to be released on December 25, 2025. He is survived by his wife, actress Hema Malini, and their six children.
