It was reported that since the beginning of the year, 261 officials responsible for failing to fulfill tasks related to poverty reduction and employment have been dismissed, and another 492 have been subjected to disciplinary action.
According to officials, more than 400,000 families still in need of help remain as the most vulnerable stratum.
"In order to lift these families out of poverty, the deputies of regional and district khokims, employment agencies, bank leaders, and the 'mahalla seven' must fundamentally change their worldview and work methods," said the head of state.
For the coming year, reducing the poverty and unemployment rate by at least 4.5 percent has been set as the main task for those responsible. Furthermore, 450 trillion soums in credit will be directed to the economy. 140 trillion soums of this will be allocated to support small and medium projects in the mahallas.
