Alexander Lukashenko asked officials to use landline phones to ensure security. According to him, this decision is "not about conservatism, but about information security."

"If you have a phone, where you go, what you do — everything is known. Regardless of whether it is turned on or off, special services know everything about you," said Lukashenko.

The President also recommended approaching digitalization processes with caution. In his opinion, it is advisable to keep some documents and data in paper form.

Lukashenko also stated that he does not have a mobile phone: "I don't have a phone, but I live. I even talk to the head of the Republic Council, Natalya Kochanova, via a landline phone," he said.

The Belarusian leader instructed Prime Minister Alexander Turcin to preserve the landline communication network in the country.
