On November 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on reforms in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals, assistance provided to children with orphan diseases, and new projects.

According to the presentation, the number of children whose treatment is covered by the state will increase, and the age limit will be raised from 18 to 21. For the period 2026–2030, a total of 961 billion soums are planned to be allocated for this direction.

Furthermore, the production volume of pharmaceutical products will be increased, the price of prescription drugs will decrease by 40–50 percent, and state procurements will be carried out transparently through the "pharma.sotib.uz" system.

Within the framework of the new reforms, the production of biopharmaceutical cell products, accelerated registration, and the utilization of opportunities for local manufacturers will be launched.
