According to Qutbiddin Burkhanov, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security Issues, 5,895 road traffic accidents occurred across the republic in January–September 2025.
This is 3.8 percent less than the same period last year. According to January–September statistics, 4,592 people were injured and 1,303 people died.
The number of traffic accidents involving pedestrians amounted to 2,689, having decreased by 5.8 percent.
According to Qutbiddin Burkhanov, these results were achieved through an increase in driver and pedestrian culture, the digitalization of the traffic system, and the improvement of the driver training system.
The Senate committee noted that positive changes are being observed in road traffic safety, but also emphasized the need to intensify preventive, technical control, and informational-educational work.
