Turkey is changing its oil purchasing direction after the sanctions of the US and the European Union against the Russian oil sector.
According to Reuters, major Turkish oil companies — SOCAR Turkey Aegean Refinery and Tupras — are now primarily purchasing crude oil from Iraq, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
According to the source, Tupras has even purchased oil from Brazil and Angola for the first time. Thus, Turkey, which was previously one of the major buyers of Russian oil, is gradually reducing its share.
