According to the DXX information service, the deputy governor of Marhamat district, Andijan region, using his official position, took a 400-meter long section of the main road passing through the district territory into a closed system, and in exchange for arranging the allocation of land and relevant documents for the construction of a total of 8 retail shops, each 30 sq/m, on a 60 sq/sox land area that would become available because of this, through his acquaintances in high positions, he demanded 15,000 US dollars from the citizen and received an advance of 200 US dollars.
During an urgent operation conducted jointly by the State Security Service and the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, the deputy governor was caught red-handed with material evidence while receiving the remaining 14,800 US dollars.
A criminal case has been initiated against this official under Part 3, clauses "a, v" of Article 168 and Part 2, clause "b" of Article 211 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure "detention" has been applied. Investigative actions are ongoing.
