President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the symbolic monument in the "New Uzbekistan" garden, paying tribute to the courage of our people and the independence of the Motherland.

Today, on August 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "New Uzbekistan" garden located in the city of Tashkent and laid a wreath at the foot of the Independence Monument.

This monument is decorated with images of significant events in Uzbekistan's history and the figures of our great scholars and commander ancestors, and it has been erected as a symbol of our people's independence.

The Humo bird, located at the very top of the monument, is interpreted as a symbol of the coat of arms of Uzbekistan and national values.

"This grand monument is dedicated to the glory of our great Motherland, our courageous, hardworking, and peace-loving people," the head of state had said earlier.

Representatives from the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the public of the city of Tashkent participated in the ceremonial event.
