Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, expressed a positive view on Ukraine's future in the war. According to her, Trump's security guarantees and active participation have forced Putin to think seriously.
Baerbock emphasized that this process could bring them closer to peace. However, she said that doubts still exist — Russia has not stopped its attacks and each time puts forward new conditions.
According to the German minister, negotiations must take place in a neutral country. On this point, she mentioned Switzerland as the most preferable option.
