The number of families formed in Uzbekistan in the last 6 months has been announced. The National Statistics Committee reported on this.
It was reported that 95.3 thousand marriages were registered in the country over the last 6 months, with the highest number recorded in Samarkand region. Samarkand ranked first with 10.5 thousand marriages, while Syrdarya region was noted as having the fewest new families formed.
The distribution of registered marriages by region is as follows:
Samarkand region — 10.5 thousand
Fergana region — 9.8 thousand
Kashkadarya region — 9.6 thousand
Tashkent city — 9.4 thousand
Surkhandarya region — 8.0 thousand
Andijan region — 7.6 thousand
Tashkent region — 7.2 thousand
Khorezm region — 6.9 thousand
Namangan region — 6.2 thousand
Karakalpakstan — 5.7 thousand
Bukhara region — 5.7 thousand
Jizzakh region — 3.6 thousand
Navoi region — 2.7 thousand
Syrdarya region — 2.4 thousand.
