Children under the age of 16 in Australia may be restricted from using YouTube — Reuters
"According to the results of a survey conducted in the country, 37% of minors have encountered 'harmful content' on the YouTube platform," writes the agency.
Earlier, the Australian government had already imposed similar restrictions on social networks such as Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.
According to Reuters, the restrictions could come into force in December of this year. YouTube data shows that currently, around 75% of Australian teenagers aged 13–15 use this platform.
