“Uzbekistan Airways” airline's flight “HY272”, which departed from Istanbul to Tashkent on July 28, was forced to return to Istanbul Airport due to cabin pressure instability during the flight. This was reported to Darakchi.uz by the company's press service.
According to the statement, the aircraft with registration number “UK67003” experienced a pressure issue in the cabin and cargo hold at an altitude of 35,000 feet, approximately half an hour after takeoff from Istanbul. After the alarm system was triggered, the crew decided to return to the departure airport to ensure safety.
The aircraft successfully landed at Istanbul Airport at 15:50 local time. The airline's technical services took the necessary measures to resolve the issue.
During the waiting period, passengers were provided with food and water, and a hotel was arranged for them. Today, on July 29, passengers were flown to Tashkent on the reserve flight “HY8272”. The flight concluded at 14:48 local time.
“Uzbekistan Airways” apologized for the inconvenience and emphasized that passenger safety is the top priority.
