Tesla lost $300 million in the second quarter of 2024. The reason for this is the new tariffs imposed by the US on imported parts and batteries. The company's net profit fell by 16%, amounting to $1.2 billion.

Electric vehicle sales also decreased by 12%. At the same time, in the state of California, this figure reached up to 20%.

According to DW sources, due to an open conflict with Trump, the US government is considering canceling state contracts with Musk's xAI and SpaceX companies.

The Pentagon had previously signed a $200 million contract with xAI, while "SpaceX" was expected to play a key role in the development of the "Golden Dome" missile defense system.
