A Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed in Ukraine. The Guardian reported this.
"On the evening of July 22, a Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed during a flight mission in the Volyn region of Ukraine," the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
According to Ukrainian military officials, a malfunction occurred in the aircraft during the flight. The pilot reported this to the control center and then ejected. A search and rescue team found the pilot, whose condition is stable.
This is considered the first loss since Ukraine received Mirage aircraft. Kyiv acquired modified Mirage 2000−5F versions from France.
