One of the members of the ruling family of Saudi Arabia, Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal Al Saud, passed away on Saturday after spending nearly 20 years in a coma following a car accident. This information was confirmed by the Royal Court. RIA Novosti reports

The late prince, who spent a significant portion of his life unconscious, was referred to in the country as the "sleeping prince." From time to time, rumors spread about his improving condition, but they were never confirmed. 

- The prince's funeral will take place today at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh, according to the statement.

As reported by the SPA agency, the 35-year-old prince's father, Khalid bin Talal, also wrote about his son's death on his social media page. For 20 years, he refused to disconnect life support and believed his son would wake up from the coma.
