According to the President's decree dated July 14, 2025, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMC) has been terminated. In its place, the National Content Production Center has been established.
The agency's supervisory and monitoring functions in the field of information have been transferred to the Inspection for Supervision in the Field of Informatization and Telecommunications.
Additionally, the decree outlines the following systemic changes:
— The Center for Mass Communications has been transferred under the subordination of the Presidential Administration;
— The Agency for Drug and Psychotropic Substances Control has been established on the basis of the National Center for Drug Control;
— A content production center for mass media has been formed on the basis of the Press Service Media Center;
— The Agency for Public Service Development has been replaced by the Agency for Management Efficiency;
— The Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts has also been transferred to the Administration's jurisdiction.
Furthermore, by September 1, 2025, draft legal documents are to be prepared in the following areas:
— Reducing bureaucratic barriers and eliminating duplicative control functions;
— Expanding the economic and financial authorities of local governments.
