By the decision of the government (number 377, dated June 18, 2025), the administrative regulation for “Providing State Services to Cover the Expenses for Adapting Vehicles for the Needs of Persons with Disabilities” has been approved. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the regulation, 50 percent of the expenses for adapting vehicles for persons with disabilities will be covered, but up to 30 times the basic calculation value.
These expenses will be covered for each bus of entrepreneurs who won the tender for combining city, suburban, and intercity bus passenger transportation routes until October 1, 2024, and provided services on these routes.
Furthermore, from November 1, 2024, it will be implemented for one vehicle per person with a first-degree disability, officially registered in their name and for their personal use.
Equipping vehicles with the following is recognized as adapting them for the needs of persons with disabilities:
- for the buses of entrepreneurs:
▪️ portable ramp (1 piece);
▪️ an audio and visual information monitor (1 piece);
▪️ informational speaker (up to 3 pieces);
▪️ a microphone for transmitting information (1 piece);
▪️ a communication button;
▪️ equipping with an information board that provides the ability to receive information about stops (1 piece);
For the personal vehicles of persons with a first-degree disability:
▪️ adapting the gas and brake pedals for hand control;
▪️ costs of converting a manual transmission into an automatic transmission.
Applicants must apply to the "Human" centers or the "Unified National Social Protection" information system or through the Public Services Agency (my.gov.uz) within 90 days from the time the vehicle is adapted to the requirements.
