“The Wall Street Journal” sources report that on June 6, US Vice President Jay D. Vance and White House Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles contacted Elon Musk, urging him to end the open social controversy with President Donald Trump.

This appeal came a day after an open argument had occurred on social networks between Musk and Trump. Musk had sharply criticized a tax privilege bill proposed by the Republican Party that could increase the budget deficit, leading Trump to retaliate against him.

During the argument, Musk reminded that Trump's name was mentioned in the case of Jeffrey Epstein, but later deleted this post without explanation.

On June 10, Musk publicly apologized, expressing regret for “some of the posts written against the president.”
