Starting from August 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Uzbekistan will be increased by 10 percent and set at 1 million 271 thousand UZS. This change directly affects the monthly military service pay for citizens serving in the mobilization call-up reserve (MCR).
This payment amount is considered seven times the amount of the minimum wage. Therefore, starting from August, the payment for one month of military service will increase from 8 million 85 thousand UZS to 8 million 897 thousand UZS. This payment can be made either in a lump sum or throughout the year. The funds are collected in a special account of the Ministry of Defense and are directed to the pensions of the military personnel, strengthening of the material-technical base, and service provision.
Citizens up to the age of 27 are accepted into the Mobilization Call-Up Reserve. They participate in monthly military assemblies and can also be mobilized for actual military service in cases of emergency situations or armed aggression. Since 2019, the payment for one month of military service has been gradually increasing.
