It is emphasized, that this rule is not newly introduced. Instead, it has long existed under Article 8 of the Law on Non-Governmental Non-Commercial Organizations, according to which NGOs are required to inform the registering authority about foreign trips relating to their activities.

According to a ministerial order adopted on May 26, 2025, the mechanism for carrying out this process electronically has been clarified. Now, NGOs only need to send an electronic notification through the e-ngo.uz platform.

This process:

▪️ Does not impose new obligations;

▪️ Does not require permission for foreign trips;

▪️ The justice authorities only accept notifications for information and statistical purposes;

▪️ Does not introduce any restrictions or requirements for obtaining permissions for NGO activities.

The Ministry of Justice has asked the media and users not to misinterpret such matters.
