Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergey Shoigu, visited North Korea on June 4th and met with the leader of the country, Kim Jong-un. This was reported on the website of the Security Council of Russia here.
During the meeting, Kim Jong-un stated that North Korea would continue to firmly support Russia in the war in Ukraine.
“The government of the DPRK unconditionally supports the position and foreign policy of Russia in all serious international political issues, especially in the conflict in Ukraine,” said the leader of North Korea.
Speaking about the war in Ukraine, Kim Jong-un wished Russia “constant victories in the righteous war”.
It was noted that the parties discussed the battles that took place in the Kursk region during the meeting. In these battles, North Korean soldiers fought on the side of Russia against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Security Council of Russia reported that the issue of "immortalizing the bravery of the Korean fighters" was discussed.
