A video showing a fire on the "Afrosiyob" high-speed train has spread on social networks. Uzbekistan Railways provided information regarding the incident.
It is noted that the fire only affected the shunting locomotive performing auxiliary transportation tasks. The "Afrosiyob" train was not damaged by the fire and will depart tomorrow.
Claims about passengers being inside the burning locomotive are false. At that time, the train was not carrying passengers.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene completely extinguished the fire.
"Afrosiyob" high-speed train's all operations will be conducted according to the schedule without any changes.
