Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni will visit Uzbekistan on May 28-29. This was reported by the press service of the Italian government.
It is noted that the negotiations and meetings will take place in Samarkand.
Meloni will leave for Kazakhstan on May 30. On the same day, the first "Central Asia - Italy" summit will be held in Astana with the participation of the heads of state of the region.
For information, on July 8, 2023, within the framework of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Italy, negotiations between Mirziyoyev and Meloni took place at the Kiji Palace in Rome.
In November of this year, the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, visited Uzbekistan. The President of Italy, accompanied by his daughter Laura Mattarella, also visited Samarkand.
