In Uzbekistan, during the first quarter of this year, 266,478 live births were recorded. This is 8,000 less than the same period last year, according to statistics published by the National Statistics Committee.
According to the data, in the period from January to April of 2025, 266,478 live birth cases were registered by the civil registration offices across the republic.
The distribution of births in urban and rural areas is as follows:
- in urban areas – 136,060;
- in rural areas – 130,418.
For your information, from January to April of 2024, the number of live births was 274,500.
The distribution of the total number of live births by registered area is as follows:
- in urban areas – 139,300;
- in rural areas – 135,200.
